Week 4 rolls into Soldier Field, and this Bears vs. Jets matchup is quietly one of the more interesting spots on the Sunday slate. Chicago sits at 2-1, installed as -3 home favorites, and the matchup data backs up that line. The Bears have run 52.1% of their offensive plays in opponent territory this season - second-best in the NFL - while the Jets have surrendered 52.4% of plays in their own territory, fourth-worst in the league. That's a brutal schematic mismatch, and it's the kind of number that should have you leaning Bears from the jump.
Let's talk about what makes New York genuinely dangerous to fade outright but compelling to fade on the spread. The Jets are 1-7 when they throw at least one interception, and the Bears lead the NFL with 26 picks since 2025. Geno Smith is walking into one of the league's best ball-hawking defenses, and New York's 12.5% conversion rate on 3rd-and-10-plus is third-worst in football. If Chicago gets ahead and forces the Jets into long-yardage situations, this could get ugly fast. The Bears are 9-1 when leading after three quarters. Chalk on the ML is real, but the spread model actually flips the script - 53.3% confidence on the Jets covering - so don't go too heavy on Chicago -3 without accounting for the backdoor.
The prop market is where I'm focused. Luther Burden III has hit the receiving yards over in 11 of his last 16 games, and Colston Loveland has gone over on receptions in 12 of his last 18. Both are live on Sunday. On the Jets side, Breece Hall's receptions under is the sharp play - he's hit that number in 12 of his last 15 games at a 46% ROI. D'Andre Swift at -125 anytime TD is also worth a look given his +390 first-score price looks like it's drifting the wrong direction.
The Bears' 4th-quarter trends are the cherry on top - 14-of-18 on the 4Q game total over, 12-of-18 on the 4Q ML. If this game stays close into the fourth, Chicago's closing ability gives them a real edge. This is the kind of data-rich spot that rewards bettors who do the work. If you want to get action down on Sunday, sign up at BetMGM and bet $10 to get $150 in bonus bets if your first bet wins, a strong welcome offer heading into a loaded Week 4 slate.
