The Jets limp into Soldier Field at 1-2, and the numbers behind this matchup are brutal for New York. Chicago is a -3 favorite, and honestly, that line might be light. The Bears have run 52.1% of their offensive plays in opponent territory since 2025, second-best in the NFL, and they're hosting a Jets defense that has allowed opponents to operate in their own backfield at the fourth-worst rate in the league. This is a mismatch hiding in plain sight.

Here's the matchup angle that matters most: the Jets are 1-7 when they throw at least one interception, and the Bears have picked off 26 passes since 2025, tied for the most in the NFL. Geno Smith has been turnover-prone, and Chicago's secondary is built to feast on exactly that. The Jets are also winless in nine games when they lose a fumble. Protect the ball or go home, and the Bears make protecting the ball very, very hard. Chicago is 9-1 when leading after three quarters, which tells you everything about how they close games.

In the prop market, I'm fading the Jets skill players on volume. Breece Hall has hit the receptions under in 12 of his last 15 games, a 46% ROI trend that's hard to ignore against a Bears defense that controls field position. On the Chicago side, Luther Burden III has hit the receiving yards over in 11 of his last 16 games, and with the Bears consistently pushing into Jets territory, the targets should be there. D'Andre Swift at -125 anytime touchdown is the most straightforward play on the board given Chicago's run-first tendencies in scoring position.

The total sitting at 43 feels right, maybe even a tick high given how suffocating Chicago's defense has been on third and long - opponents convert just 13.5% on 3rd and 10-plus against this Bears unit, fourth-best in the NFL. The Jets first-half under is also worth a look, with New York hitting that number in 12 of their last 17 games. Lean Bears to cover, lean under early, and target the Bears' fourth quarter - they've covered the 4Q spread in 14 of their last 18. If you want to back any of these angles, sign up at BetMGM and get up to $1,500 back in bonus bets if your first bet doesn't win, which gives you serious runway to work through the full prop slate.
