We're down to the wire. Game 7 between Oklahoma City and San Antonio tips Saturday, and whoever survives gets a date with the New York Knicks in the NBA Finals. The Knicks have been sitting on the couch since sweeping Cleveland in four, rested and ready, while OKC and San Antonio are emptying the tank. That rest advantage is real, and it's already baked into the Knicks' +210 championship odds heading into the Finals.

Let's talk about the Thunder first, because they're the team to beat at +115 to win it all. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a walking bucket in May and June, his mid-range and foul-drawing are essentially matchup-proof, and Chet Holmgren's rim protection changes what a defense can do schematically. OKC ranks in the top tier on both ends, can play five-out without sacrificing shot-blocking, and their organizational depth turns bench pieces into playoff contributors. If they get past San Antonio, the Knicks will have their hands full against a team built exactly like a champion.

Here's my sharp angle: the Spurs are the live dog worth respecting. Wembanyama was enormous in Game 6, and at +250, there's real value if you believe San Antonio can steal one on the road Saturday. BetMGM's own handle data shows the Spurs carrying 17.5% of total money wagered on the championship, the highest of any team. Sharp money doesn't just show up like that without a reason. If Wemby goes off in Game 7, the Knicks suddenly have a very different Finals opponent on their hands, and the series price flips dramatically.

For the Finals itself, the total and series length props are where I'm hunting edges. A Knicks-Thunder matchup pits two elite defenses against each other, and the under in individual games looks appetizing early in the series before offenses adjust. If San Antonio makes it through, the pace and style shifts entirely, opening up different angles on the total. Either way, this Finals has the makings of a grind-it-out classic, not a sweep. If you want to get in on the action before Game 7 even tips, sign up at BetMGM and bet $10 to get $1,500 in bonus bets, one of the strongest welcome offers available right now heading into the biggest series of the year.
